This year the following events are planned for Africa week:
1. Celebrating Africa – Shed 6 – May 21
2. Africa Golf Cup – Karori golf club – May 22
3. Africa Day celebration – NZ Parliament – May 25
4. Separate African kids, youth, women and men’s dinner events – dates and venues tba
5. Sporting event – May 28 – venue tba
Africa Day is a Cultural festival which is a fun and educational family day. There will be many performances and activities on offer including:
- Traditional and modern African music and performances from around the continent
- African Food Stalls
- Arts and Crafts
- Kids Activities
- Information and community stall
