Each year we come together to celebrate our African heritage with a dazzling display of arts, crafts, music, poetry, fashion, cuisine, performances and words of wisdom. This year, the African Union theme “Educate an African Fit for the 21st Century” celebrates the rich and diverse educational achievements across the African continent. This year’s event is under the auspices of Porirua City Council, Welcoming Communities, Porirua Multicultural Council, Africa Connection Aotearoa, Smalls Photography and Multicultural Council of Wellington. This year’s date was selected ahead of the planned National Conference in Auckland taking place on 24 May 2024.
