Family and Sexual Violence Initiative

Family and Sexual Violence Initiative Violence is never a resort to accomplish life goals. What are the root causes, early warning signs and how best do we manage this in our community? Notice of ACCW Annual General Meeting The Annual General Meeting for 2024 provides a forum to talk about the ACCW’s achievements during the year under review and opportunity to share our plans and strategies in the coming year. The AGM also provides good grounds for elected officials to account for their stewardship through the presentation of Board Reports. The tenure of the current Board will end at this year’s AGM and pursuant to the ACCW Constitution, an election Committee has been constituted to conduct election for new board members at the AGM. Mens Night 2024

Mens Night 2024 In the maiden edition of the Mens Night 2023, the ACCW Health and Wellbeing Subcommittee delivered a health wellness talk covering key areas to improving men’s health along with networking, pool, darts and drinks. This year’s Mens Night builds on previous edition with a theme “The Role of Men in Family and Community Social Wellbeing”. Improving men’s social well-being and enhance their active participation in the areas of parenting, community development and social cohesion continues to be the core focus of ACCW. It is envisioned that by attending, men in our community will be empowered to be better role models and inspired. The event is open for all men, do extend to your communities and friends. Africa Day 2024 Each year we come together to celebrate our African heritage with a dazzling display of arts, crafts, music, poetry, fashion, cuisine, performances and words of wisdom. This year, the African Union theme “Educate an African Fit for the 21st Century” celebrates the rich and diverse educational achievements across the African continent. African Day is largest African event in Wellington region and celebrated in unison across all regions in New Zealand.
